Hidden behind the hedges and fence lines of gardens in the Surrey Hills, the Rowden family are cultivating a family garden for sustainability, productivity, beauty and joy.

About our garden
Every element of our garden plays its part in the whole; plant and animal life work together for mutual sustainability.
We throw the grit of family life into the mix and together with our three boys, hens and many hundreds of thousands of honey bees, we're learning to positively participate in garden life whilst caring for creation well. It's trial and error, and often messy!

Caring for our colonies of honey bees has become a central part of our family life and permaculture adventure.
About our honey
Our honey bees are significant stakeholders in our garden; they pollinate our crops and use the nectar foraged from trees and flowers around the Surrey Hills to craft a delicious honey, rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
The highlight of every summer is pouring honey straight from our Flow Hives. By gently harvesting the honey from our hives we minimise any disturbance to the bees, whilst ensuring that our harvest is as pure and unprocessed as possible - just as the bees intended and 100% natural.
